Since DotNest is a multi-tenant environment there are certain aspects we manage for you in an optimized way. This means you don't have to care about a lot of maintenance!

• Orchard upgrades/updates: DotNest sites always run on the latest stable Orchard Core version.
• Data upgrades: You don't need to run data upgrades (i.e. manual data changes brought by a new Orchard version) as DotNest automatically runs those when needed.
• SMTP settings: Unless you insist on using your own SMTP server for some reason the SMTP settings on DotNest sites are pre-populated to ensure your site can send e-mails out of the box. Note that for this, the "From" header of e-mails must be [email protected] for Orchard Core sites (and [email protected] for Orchard 1 sites), something that's automatically managed for you. You can, however, configure the "Reply-To" header to a custom e-mail address of yours, so your users will reply to that.
• Indexing with Elasticsearch. You just have to enable and configure search and indexing as usual but behind the scenes, we provide high-performance Elasticsearch.
